Hi, my name is Elizabeth Klassen. I have lived with my husband and children in the Town of Lincoln for 26 years. My husband and I have had five wonderful boys, a wonderful daughter in law and one little granddaughter now. Our boys attended our local school, Vineland Public School, where their father and his siblings also attended. I have been a very active parent in this community, volunteering at local churches as a leader in Coffee Break/Story Hour (a mother/children inductive Bible study) (11 years), volunteering in Vineland Public School classrooms (16 years), at the Special Olympics as a photographer, fundraising events for cancer, Police Ride to Remember photography, Canadian Police Memorial photography, Tug of War a Project Share fundraiser as a photographer and advertising, at Artfest (16 years), and most of all being a member of the Parent Council (15 years), as well as Chair of Vineland Public School Parent Council (10 years) and Eden High School Parent Council Constitution subcommittee (1 year). Giving and being an active part in my community has always been important to me.
If you don’t already know me or know of me please let me tell you a little about myself. I am a wife, mother of five boys, a mother in law, grandmother and a photographer. I love to travel and my business takes me to places I would never have dreamed of travelling to. I am approachable, sensitive, and love to meet new people. I am also not afraid to be outspoken about needs and be a voice for those who feel they don’t necessarily have one. I am a good listener and can also call it as I see it. I have held positions of leadership and am responsible, caring and trustworthy.
I am looking forward to being an active liaison between our parents, educators, and children of our community as a Trustee for the District School Board of Niagara for Grimsby/Town of Lincoln (English speaking).
